Sino German Creative Park Four is a museum and cultural exchange center in Qingdao, China. The building stands on a north slope, facing the main park entrance, with a river landscape to the south. A Y-shaped layout gives the building three facades of floor-to-ceiling glass curtain walls, each turned toward a different landscape area of the park. The three tips of the Y shape are slightly raised to form a sculptural outline. Fair-faced concrete shapes the interior and echoes the outdoor brick curtain wall. The design also improves the microclimate and stores rainwater.
